Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied Dear Yard and it was excellent. Good snow conditions. There were two classic tracks side by side except the last section where someone came in on snowmobiles.

Skied Deer Yard Lake Trail today. Great conditions despite some foot traffic. At least one set of the parallel tracks were in good shape the whole loop. Beautiful. Also skied the connector between ski hill road and 4. Some very sketchy un-skiable sections and some exposed shrubs and rocks. Still nice to be out on a lovely day but more snow needed for that trail.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
I classic skied on the Norpine Trail from Hansen Hjemsted trailhead to Hall Road, there was 1" - 2" fluff on the recently packed and tracked trail.
Lots of animal tracks, and a fat tire bike track but other than that it was untouched. Wow, what a great ski! One bad spot but other than that, no ice!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Skied the Deeryard loop and fire tower from the upper Deeryard trailhead. Grooming was recent. Tracks were firm. Snow in the below zero cold was very slow. Some dirt, stubble and ice spots made me wish I had my B skis but no damage. Very good early season conditions and blue skies and snow covered trees were beautiful.
