Firsthand: Classic [

We skied Erkki Harju this morning. The skate lane is fully covered and pretty nice. Some of the early season type unevenness, but not bad. The classic tracks have grass, dirt, etc coming through in about 20% of them. Unfortunately someone walked right down the tracks! Good skis if you are skating and B or lower skis if you are doing classic and want to stay in the tracks.

Groomed the trail this morning, not a lot of snow to work with but the skate lanes look pretty good, definitely better than before grooming. The classic track has a lot grass and leaves sticking up in spots but definitely skiable.

Freshly groomed and lovely! I had so much fun and was able to V2 consistently, I didn't want to stop. Would not recommend classic skiing in the set classic tracks as there were many places with bare dirt and leaves. It's no fault of the groomer, who did a great job with the snow we have. The skate deck was good but would recommend B skis due to some debris and branches poking up through the snow. Only one side loop was not groomed, the trail is 90% open.

All trails except the two advanced spurs are groomed and tracked. The classic track has frequent spots where grass is sticking up. The best loop for skating is the outer 5k loop. Grooming plans: We plan to groom again tomorrow if we get more snow tonight.
