Things were getting pretty soft and deep later in the day throughout the man-made loop, but happy that some areas were still firmer and faster than anticipated. A few uphill sections were showing underlying dirt, but there were no true obstacles to avoid throughout the course. Well worth the visit- many thanks to the groomers!

The grooming crew did a great job considering all the rain lately. Skate deck was hard and fast.

Did loops around the man-made course. Reasonably firm and "glidy". Didn't jump into the classic tracks, but those look pretty good also.

Started skiing at 7:15 am. Trails were super fast and solid. The groomers did a great job of utilizing the short freeze overnight. Skied 15k, and as I got towards the end the skate deck started to get soft. Poles are sinking in, but skis were mostly still just gliding along.

The snowmaking loop was soft but very skiable this morning, between 10:30 and noon. I was shocked at the lack of people. We were one of maybe a dozen or so cars in the overflow lot. Uphills were getting challenging due to moist, sugary snow. I skated, but wife and son did classic. The tracks looked nice and seemed quick with only a little degradation in kick quality. Soft snow made for gentle landings when the kid (and adults) fell. It seems all other Elm Creek trails are closed at the moment. Thanks to the groomers and snowmakers for keeping it thriving where possible.

Skied man made loop. Conditions were pleasantly very good, better than expected; tracks neither ice nor slush. The skate deck looked like it was getting soft (1-1:30 pm). No leaf debris. Good job groomers, thank you.

Classic skied with my skin techs while my wife skied with waxless skis. At 10:15 am place was very sparse of skiers. Classic tracks were nice and deep and ever so slightly icy but we could get good kick. Also great glide. Temperature was 29 degrees with a little wind.

Skied the main 2.5k manmade loop this afternoon. Not super busy. Good snow. Occasional leaves/organic debris on the trail.

I only skied the manmade loop. The bypass is open for those who don't wish to tackle the wall. It was the busiest I've ever seen it around 9 a.m., maybe 200 (?) skiers, so it was a bit crowded, but the groomers had done a bang-up job. The skate deck was holding surprisingly well. There was a bit of degradation in the tracks, but it didn't look bad at all. It was a wonderful ski all around.

I took the natural snow trails (Lake to Northern Lights). These were ungroomed, but enough people have been on them to do a bit of snow packing. People have been walking them, too, so there are divots. The entry path over the bridge is getting thin. Classic skiers have a choice of skier-made tracks, though the older ones are down to grass in places. The base is maybe 1" or less packed, with 2-3" soft snow over a lot of it. That quiet schuss of natural snow made it worth the extra effort. Skate skiers may find it too soft for fun - most of the skate tracks were from the overflow parking lot back to the manmade loop.
