This trail runs from the Big Muskellunge Lake Campground (Northern Highland State Forest) into the small town of Boulder Junction. Other than a 1.5k section that is shared with a little used road it is all bike path. The southern half is a very good roller ski workout, no big hills but enough up and down to keep you working. (Submitted by Jeff Reed) Pros: Trail goes through some very beautiful pine and birch forest with great views of Trout Lake. New surface. Cons: Sections have forest "litter" - leaves and twigs that need watching. Several road crossings (county roads with little traffic though).
