Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
33 degrees F and cloudy.
The skate deck was mostly level and firm, still crisp from the recent PB grooming. However there were some sections where leaves and other organic matter were visible. The classic tracks were mostly good with some sections with exposed debris. I posted pictures showing both the good and the bad areas.

Absolutely perfect skiing today. Classic tracks were fast with just a few beech leaves to avoid. The deck is soft so be careful pulling out of the track. I did the whole north section from old 32 parking lot. The top north loop was unskied with an inch of fresh snow on top. Very cold start.

Skied the golf course and north to 11K. The trail was freshly groomed today, in fact the groomers were still out as I was skiing. The skate lane was flat in many areas and still had done undulation in other areas. Conditions were a little soft as the new snow is quite dry. The classic tracks looked nice.

Classic tracks are limited to area from Old 32 parking lot to south near the golf course. Bare grassy spots frequently. Great day skiing what was available.

Freshly groomed new snow made for nice corduroy. Trails were mostly flat with some undulation, a little soft when we skied. Classic tracks were set in some areas but other areas had none.
