Beautiful, well-groomed track but icy in sections. There are also several open, grassy patches. Still a very enjoyable afternoon ski. Big hill was no problem.

Perfect and apparently pretty recent grooming. The latest dusting was skied in. Tracks were firm and there were no washed out sections of the tracks. All uphills still had a track. No tree material (leaves, sticks, bark) in the tracks. Wildlife is apparently appreciating the grooming as much as the humans, especially after hours. Users with paws and hooves instead of skis have been on many parts of the trail/track; tracks also apparently make a great bathroom for these critters. That's the only thing I had to avoid on the trail besides the remains of a recent small animal kill on the connection to Old Hartley Road at the bottom of the trail system.

Freshly groomed (probably earlier today). Great conditions on all trails, with only a small handful of spots where poles had knocked chunks of snow into the tracks.

Excellent double track. Only minor inevitable debris. The single root in shallow track on lower segment is easily avoided. Or hopped.

Overall in great shape. Feels relatively recently groomed, with the tracks in better shape than average. The green loop had a few sections where the tracks were a bit rough, but was still good overall.

We had intel that the groomer had visited Hartley at 7am to work the new 3 inches of snow into tracks. When we skied at 11 am the tracks were pretty firm and had little to no tree debris. With the strong wind today, our second loop had more debris in the tracks, still not much. The snow blew into the tracks between our first and second lap too. Pole plants were soft at times firm at other times. We ran into some skiers who not only had a dog on the trail and it had no leash. Dogs are not allowed on the ski trails at Hartley and they need to be leashed in the park.

This is more like it! Great morning ski at Hartley. Predictability a bit wonky, but overall amazing. Pretty heavily used already, and understandably so. We've been waiting for this snow! Expect perfect tracks. Expect uneven tracks. Expect blown-out tracks. Expect soft and perfectly firm pole plants. It's all out there and it's all fantastic!

Night temperatures were sufficiently low after a warmer day to really solidify the full-depth tracks throughout the system. Now the tracks are firm, not at all icy. You will have good kick and glide as long as you don't totally miss the wax. The system has not seen too much use yet, either, although herringbone obliterated tracks on short steep uphills. Minor. Very little leaf fall and downhills are still extremely forgiving with the new snow.

Groomed and tracked. Snow is sticky but has covered all debris and bare spots. Skied outer loop, classic tracks are set.

Tracks are starting to get a bit beaten up, but coverage is good except for a few thin spots here and there.
