Used the PB to eliminate the classic tracks today and to groom the skate deck. The plan with the forecasted snow will be to groom throughout the snowfall and set new tracks. Current conditions are skate only with the system holding an adequate base for most skill levels.

Freshly groomed skate deck. Crew was still there, not sure if they were going to continue to groom. Trails have held up well despite the warm temps.

10K, 6K, and Leo's Loop skate lanes groomed this morning. Started out with the PB, but had to switch back to the Honda/Tidd Tech due to base depth.

Fresh snow Saturday night. Started at 10:45 am, finished at 2. Skied (classic) leo's loop, 10k and 6 k, which were just groomed, - excellent conditions, blue wax. Temps stayed between 25 and 32 but with intermittent wind gusts so classic tracks were sometimes filled with blowing powder. Felt colder than 25 due to wind. Sun shone intermittently. 20 K not groomed, apparently - no plans to groom today. Did not see anyone making tracks there.

All trails are still open. Some areas with a thin base and some debris. Plan to groom early tomorrow morning with the focus on the 10K then the 6K. Conditions are a little challenging, but to be expected with the recent ice storm. Good feedback from skiers as far as the proper wax to use in order to maximize the experience.

Surprisingly good considering the ice storm of Sunday and Monday. Reworked snow and a very firm trail made for fast skiing. The classical tracks varied from shallow in a few places to deep and firm in others. Much less debris than last week. Blue klister worked well. Hard wax for old snow might also have worked but the conditions were very abrasive, so even then a binder layer of green or blue klister would be best. The tracks were hard enough that I'm not sure waxless skis would get good grip, but they were not glazed. Definitely worth skiing.

Excellent conditions. Trails Piston Bully groomed with Smooth skate deck and excellent tracks. Good conditions to test skis ahead of Birkie, or warm up on the way North.
