The skiing today was super; We picked up another 5 inches of snow today, and the temps dropped to the teens. We plan to regroom with a full crew in the morning. We are at 91 inches of snowfall for this season, ahead of last year! 75 km are being groomed just about daily. The new Tamarack 2 Track is getting great reviews -- the new 12k double tracked classic trail.

Wonderful conditions at ABR this afternoon. Plenty of snow, the usual excellent grooming, and beautiful weather. It always impresses me how well defined the snow belt is here; 20 miles east of Ashland, and suddenly highway 2 gets snowy, drifts start appearing, and by the time I arrive in Ironwood, the snow is deep and the drifts are big.

Wow. Just perfect. The ABR and Sisufest crew outdid themselves for the best Sisufest ever. They groomed all the fresh snow to make firm solid tracks and a firm skate deck. With sunshine and frosted trees, and the cheerleaders at the finish line, you couldn't have asked for nicer conditions.

Grooming

We groomed all 75 km after the nice dump of snow yesterday, both Pisten Bully's were out and the Bearcats out on the single track trails. The warmer temps with the sun out made for nice skiing on the firm fresh grooming.

Merry Christmas! We picked up another 2 inches last night and we groomed 75 km again this morning. The conditions are excellent but the weather is chilly. We plan to drag another small cabin out to Jason Park in the morning to have another warming area at the south end of the trail system.

It was an absolute dream skiing at abr this morning. More snow overnight made for a firm, flat deck after the great groomers did their thing. I've been on the trails for 10 days of really nice good ski December conditions but today was mint and the newly flocked trees and glistening sunlight was gorgeous.

An inch or two of light powdery snow fallen over firm groomed trails made for very good skiing conditions today. Snowy scenery is beautiful. Trail conditions are excellent. Eric and Angela and their crew are pros.

Excellent skiing on a sunny day at ABR with the usual top-notch daily grooming and plenty of snow. It took me a moment to figure out the new trail layout but River Trail reroute is outstanding and the Tamarack Two Track side by side classic only trail is a gem. Reminds me of the old days of double track classic before they all got opened up for skating in the 1990s.

I think heaven is spelled A-B-R! The classic tracks were deep and firm. The skate deck was also firm. This is the best skiing I can remember for mid-December. Fantastic!
