Conditions: Skied 1:30 to 4:30 pm, mostly on single track/backcountry in case the groomed trails were soft. However, skate deck was still firm as were the tracks. They were softening but not slushed through so the deck should have held up very well to the melt.
Once we got snow these trails have been really good. The grooming care and the summer leveling/seeding by BC and FoRC have really paid off. The new lights are drawing skiers. Its all good. With another batch of snow we become more solid for skiing hopefully into april.

Conditions: Fair to good. Good skis were fine for today, as any bare spots and/or debris could be avoided this morning. However, both skate decks and classic trails received a high amount of use today, so conditions by the end of the day most likely deteriorated.
Skate deck presented inconsistent conditions, as there's a mix of firm vs. icy (as the sun came out) vs. punchy. Hills on Maples Trail were in good shape. Far back stretch through the pine plantation had a fair amount of debris that included pine needles and cones; a few but not significant bare spots. Classic tracks were full depth in most spots once exiting the launch deck. However, there were oak leaves and bare spots, but one could avoid most. Tracks were soft and thus somewhat slow, especially as noon neared. The Camp is definitely skiable, but there were a lot of skiers there this morning and probably after noon, as well, so conditions may have deteriorated.

Conditions: Good coverage and fully groomed.
Overall not real fast but fast enough Wednesday mid-day with 100% snow cover and very little debris.

Conditions: Fair. Skiable, but getting thin...could use some snow soon, Skaters will find conditions to vary from ideal to icy/thin to dirty (leaves, pine needles, etc). Classic tracks are getting shallow.
Lots of happy skiers enjoying 28 degree weather under gray skies Think snow, Carpe Skiem!!

Conditions: Good. Freshly groomed at 7 am. Firm and fast. Groomers are expertly extending the paltry amount of snow we have had.
Skated Birches and Maples Hills, 6:30-8:30 am, 8-10 degree's under blue skies....nothing better than hearing the Lion roar at 7:35 from the new zoo!!

Conditions: Good. Skated at night under the lights. Best conditions in over a week. Warmer temps softened up the previously iced-over surface for some great skiing!
22 degrees at 7 pm. Classic tracks holding. Should be a good weekend...the groomers have made the most out of the little snow we have had. Let's hope we pick up a couple of inches in the coming days.

Conditions: Hard packed skate lane but ski-able.
Skied early evening for a couple of hours. Found the main highways (lighted trails) to be hard packed. You could find better snow near the side of the trails as well the back part of maples and birches. If we just get that inch of snow it would be near perfect. There are some leaves and dirt in some areas, B skis. Thanks for all the hard work and financial backing for the lighted trails.

Conditions: Slick. Skate deck is super firm, slick in heavily used areas, best in the Maples Hills and back stretch of Birches. Classic lanes seem to be holding up.
Skated Birches in 20 degree, sunny skies. Again many thanks to all the sponsors of Project Illumination...and, for anyone looking for that extra motivation to climb that last hill, these pictures are for you. Carpe skiem.
