Notes

The Lester-Amity trail offers 15K of varied terrain for beginner to experienced skiers through pine, aspen, and birch forests. An additional 3K circles the Lester Park Golf Course and is accessible from the main Lester-Amity Trail. The openness of the golf course offers an excellent place for beginning cross-country skiers, and several short cuts are available. There is also a 5K trail portion that is lit in the mornings and evenings.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Trails rolled, need more snow for tracking. Good workout. No lights though. I was headlamp night skiing - most of trails, went to back forty. Great to be out again in the snow - refreshing!

Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Ran over to Lester after work with some rock skis and my kid, not expecting any grooming. They'd rolled the trails. Skied the C loop minus the playground. I had classic skis, no track yet, lots of sliding around but I was prepared for that. Saw a couple of people out skating. Trail is still pretty uneven, especially the bottom half and the top part we skied was soft. Lights not on yet and we didn't go above C.

[ Trails: Closed ]
It looked like they packed the upper loops of Lester Park today. It did not look skiable but it's a start.

In January you would call these conditions horrible, but on October 28th they are fantastic! Stick to the fairways as much as possible ... easier and better skiing.
