Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Drove past Columbia GC and groomed skate deck and set classic tracks were visible. Sadly, didn't have time to ski them so can't give much detail other than there appeared to be plenty of snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Refreshed the skate lane Friday evening. It is a bit smoother and flatter now. There are some thin sections with grass coming through, but decent overall. The tracks set yesterday are still in good shape.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Rolled and then groomed this morning. Skate and classic. Classic track is set everywhere possible due to not enough snow in spots. There were a few dirt spots in the track that are only small spots. Skate deck is not the prettiest due to the groomer and snowmobile needing some maintenance, but definitely better than no grooming. The groomer and snowmobile will be fixed as soon as possible.
Apologies for the lack of grooming the last few weeks. After the last groom before the snow we took the snowmobile with us back to Theodore Wirth park to begin preparations for the Loppet festival. We needed every snowmobile we could have to pull off the full course.

Observation
[ Trails: Closed ]
There is plenty of snow at CGC and the tracks of others who have skied there but the course is not discernible. If you come, be prepared to break trail.

Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Trail not groomed and basically it's lost, however there are lots of classic tracks set "old school" by us skiers. Some ice and grass showing on the ridges. Otherwise nice. No skating possible but it was the first time I've gotten my youngest out skiing. Yay! Too bad it took til she was 19 but I think she sort of liked it (except the frozen feet part).

Tried to ski Columbia Golf Course. Could not discern where the tracks were but was able to break trail. Plenty of snow but challenging.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Did a full loop and a little extra at Columbia Golf Course this evening with my skate skis. Snow coverage was great, but it doesn't look there has been much grooming action. Spent most of my time wading through a soft 4 inches. Better than no snow, but I really hope the groomers can get out shortly and get the trails packed before it gets warm again.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
About a foot of new snow was rolled Monday night, with a small section of classic track set near the clubhouse. The snowmobile skis never hit the paved cart paths. There is some drifting, and I expect some of the rolled trail to disappear overnight.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Got out early this morning and skied a few loops at Columbia. Trail was in fair condition, with one small section just past the bridge having blacktop exposed (caught a few dings), but could be avoided. Probably 75% of the trail skied very well, but there are several stretches of trail with grass exposed. Was nice to have enough snow that the trails were groomed and could follow the track all the way around. Hoping for the best during the warm up.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
I got up early this morning and rolled the whole course at Columbia before going to work. The new snow has much improved conditions, and drifting snow was not too much of a problem. Some grass is poking through in sections, and the paved cart paths are still a hazard. Columbia is groomed by volunteers from the Loppet Foundation, and we have a hard time staying on course also, so the trail might be a little different every week.
