Grooming

Groomed this morning. Skate deck is good, couple spots that are dirty but are avoidable. Classic track was set everywhere but is shallow in some spots.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trail is currently just rolled, with no final grooming or classic track set.
Unfortunately, the groomer broke this morning, so it may be a little while before conditions improve.

Groomed for skate and one classic track. Packed well, couple powdery spots but overall a fantastic ski.

Skied a few laps at Columbia Tuesday night. Some minor bare spots on the back side of the driving range net but other than that the skate deck was in surprisingly good shape. You could use B skis if you were careful. The classic tracks appeared to be glare ice in spots. Overall better than I expected. Thanks to the volunteer groomers to maintaining this little local trail.

Lovely conditions for evening ski. Some walker footprints but nothing that interfered with the glide. Nice grooming, a few avoidable grassy spots topping some hills.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Drove past Columbia GC and groomed skate deck and set classic tracks were visible. Sadly, didn't have time to ski them so can't give much detail other than there appeared to be plenty of snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Refreshed the skate lane Friday evening. It is a bit smoother and flatter now. There are some thin sections with grass coming through, but decent overall. The tracks set yesterday are still in good shape.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Rolled and then groomed this morning. Skate and classic. Classic track is set everywhere possible due to not enough snow in spots. There were a few dirt spots in the track that are only small spots. Skate deck is not the prettiest due to the groomer and snowmobile needing some maintenance, but definitely better than no grooming. The groomer and snowmobile will be fixed as soon as possible.
Apologies for the lack of grooming the last few weeks. After the last groom before the snow we took the snowmobile with us back to Theodore Wirth park to begin preparations for the Loppet festival. We needed every snowmobile we could have to pull off the full course.

Observation
[ Trails: Closed ]
There is plenty of snow at CGC and the tracks of others who have skied there but the course is not discernible. If you come, be prepared to break trail.

Trail not groomed and basically it's lost, however there are lots of classic tracks set "old school" by us skiers. Some ice and grass showing on the ridges. Otherwise nice. No skating possible but it was the first time I've gotten my youngest out skiing. Yay! Too bad it took til she was 19 but I think she sort of liked it (except the frozen feet part).
