I skied some of the Beaver Brooke Ski Trails this morning. Currently, the tracks are skied in. There was good coverage, with some debris and thin spots.The trails will not be groomed until some time after Jan 8th as the DNR would like to wait until hunting season is over. Dogs are welcome on the trails and you may want to wear some orange clothing.

Glide and Stride ski club (the volunteer grooming for Beaver Brook) has been notified by the WI DNR that grooming cannot start until Jan 2nd due to conflicts with hunting seasons. Backcountry skiing and snowshoeing is still allowed and we plan on grooming after Jan 2nd. We BC skied the Harrison lake loop twice, it has good early snow coverage (8-10") with an occasional branch/ground strike. Get out and enjoy traditional skiing on this dog friendly trail. Note: As there is active hunting, please wear bright clothing (and for your pets).
