Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Fox Hill is in phenomenal shape for skating. All trails have been groomed for skating and the classic track was left as is. Several striders were out and the classic track looked to be improving as the day went on. Minimal leaf/debris litter on the trails. I brought my B-skis expecting fair conditions but would rate them as very good overall and wouldn't hesitate to use good skis on all the trails. Thanks to groomer Jerry!

Its raining. Please stay off the trails until the weather is more favorable. A little patience will mean better trails in a few days.

Very nice Tuesday late afternoon. Skate deck started to get a little hard by end of ski. Great grooming!

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Good skis ]
The skate deck was firm and fast but not icy on Monday around sunset. There is some trail litter in the wooded areas but I don't think it merits needing B-skis. Some striders reported icy patches in some portions of the track.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions at Fox Hill continue to be good. Skate deck has firmed up very well over the past several days and coverage is excellent throughout. The classic tracks appeared in good condition as well. About a dozen cars in the new parking lot, the word is out on Fox Hill. Enjoy!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
The trails at Fox Hill Nordic have firmed up considerably in the last 24 hours. Groomer Jerry was out this morning packing, grooming, and setting track. Not enough trail litter to merit B-skis. There have been some pleasant changes at FHN, bring a friend or two and enjoy!

Fox Hill received about eight inches of fresh snow on Monday into Tuesday. Trails were groomed for skating as of noon on Tuesday but were soft and slow. Due to the high winds with the snow, there is some trail litter but it is easily skied around. The wooded areas had less depth and were more easily navigated. As I was leaving, I spoke with groomer Jerry who was setting up to lay some classic track but indicated he wouldn't be setting track in the wooded areas. Get out there and ski, we need some skiers to pack it down. Should set up nicely over the course of the next few days. Snow is finally here!
