Santa brought 4" of high moisture snow to Fox Hill! Freshly groomed this morning for skating. West loop trails, half of the upper fields, and the lower prairie are groomed, mostly with one pass of the Tidd-Tech. Skating is great with good, soft glide with the fresh stuff on top of the firm base. Beautiful with the fresh snow hanging on the trees.
Classic tracks are there hiding under the fresh snow on the side.

Freshly groomed and was fresh around 2pm on Wednesday Dec. 21st. Did a 40min skate. Only two other cars in the parking lot. West woods loop, east woods loop and fox loop do not have classic tracks. Prairie trails were phenomenal and had classic tracks.. Smooth grade and fresh groom. A bit of leaf litter on the trail at one point but not obstructing at all. Note: As a first time visitor I was a bit thrown off by the two parking areas. I accessed from Sleeping Dragon Road.

Very good conditions throughout. Fresh cold snow made for slow conditions (probably because I still had warm wax on). Trails groomed for skating the entire system. A little soft but smooth. Classic tracks are in excellent condition on the outer loops.

About 4-5 inches of snow fell on the Fox Hill area yesterday and into the morning. The expertly groomed trails led to a parking lot full of cars. Lots of folks out enjoying a soft and fluffy skate deck. Enough snow cover to bring out the good skis. Classic track was not reset but was heavily skied in. More snow expected today. Enjoy!

Trails are in pretty good shape at Fox Hill Nordic. The light fluffy snow has firmed up nicely and was groomed for both skate and classical. There is the occasional twig, bare spot, or icy spot but easily avoidable. I wouldn't hesitate to use good skis. There are some minor but noticeable improvements to the trail system.

Skied at night, full moon. Beautiful run and well groomed, especially after just the first snowfall. Used my rock skis and could have likely used my good ones, but was hesitant. I think a lot done with a little there, bravo groomer! Sending in my membership.

Beautiful full moonrise ski tonight with great early season conditions. Skate lanes open throughout the system and are in very good condition. The dry powdery snow is packed but has a soft top--good for pushing off yet good glide. Classical tracks set up very nicely and were quite fast for double poling. Thin spots in only a very few places, mostly in the woods. Upper and lower fields are excellent!

The trails were a bit soft, narrow and windblown as expected the day after a first snow but the groomer arrived right as I was leaving. Track was set and a little thin in places. It was great to be on snow again!

The season starts with really good conditions! Fox Hill Nordic trails are almost 100% groomed, most with three passes of the Tidd Tech. Firmed up nicely with the last pass of the groomer. Grooming for skating only. Trails are a little bit soft with about 7" new, low-moisture snow but everything is very nice skating. Only a very few spots where the conditions get thin. Maybe not your A skis but if thats all you got, you won't hurt them. I never hit bottom.
