Conditions: Tracked and groomed.
After a two day meltdown the groomers with help from fresh snow restored the pristine conditions this morning.

Conditions: Excellent - groomed recently - double track loop for classic only.
Love this deep snow. Doing the Poplar Creek trail (groomed by Bearskin resort) for last 2 days was so enjoyable. The tall trees and the younger pines all topped with snow made for photo stops. Ox Cart was also in great shape with just a few real fast but safe hill fun. Temperature around 19 today and yesterday.

Conditions: Grooming was super plus light dusting of snow at 5F in the morning made classic sking the best.
Temps do warm up a bit from 5f to low 20s so be ready for change after lunch break (kickwax that is). Well worth the drive. Long live classic!

Conditions: Recent grooming for both skate and classic with light new snow on top, but still very good skiing.
I hate to sound like a broken record, but it was another super day at Central Gunflint. Thanks to Golden Eagle and Bearskin for maintaining consistently good trails for all of us!

Conditions: Excellent for skating and classic on Thursday.
Skied in afternoon on Thursday - headed out from Bearskin Lodge. Yes, cold at 12 above but the sun made the trails gorgeous. Not much sun up this way lately...but the snow is consistently easy to wax for as a result. Another white batch dropped a few days ago.

Conditions: Excellent. Trails had been groomed again after the wind stopped and skiing was as good as it gets for both classic and skate skiing.
We skied the Summer Home Road, Beaver Dam, and Campground Trails. All had just been groomed and except for the moose track on part of it, they were perfect. Per the lodge, all the trails had been groomed this morning except for the Poplar Creek Trail which was scheduled to be done in the afternoon.

Conditions: Very good to excellent. The only issue was snow blowing into the tracks. As long as you were't the leader doing mild trail breaking, conditions were excellent.
Grooming was impeccable and recent, but glide wasn't very good due to the cold snow. The woods are still beautiful with snow hanging on the conifers.

Conditions: Excellent for classic and skate - some new snow.
Skied again today....Bearskin/Golden Eagle trails. Temp at noon was 19 degrees. Seems the most popular trails were re-groomed today. Again the sun wasn't out for much of my afternoon ski. OK with me, it can't glaze the tracks. Nice to see fellow ski-nuts on the trails.

Conditions: Excellent newly set trails at Bearskin/Golden Eagle - the snow temp didn't near the air temp of 34 in afternoon. There was minimal/rare icing in classic tracks. Skate tracks awesome!
Not sure where all the skiers were - yet the Bearskin/Golden trails are many, and it was a Sunday. Met some women from the Cities, also finding classic skiing good. Hint: I did have a Start wax with a 27-36 degree range. The Central Gunflint has great depth so can handle some warm-ups.
