Very disappointing. Not groomed after yesterday's warm up. Generally boilerplate Saturday morning. The ski league kids should consider helmets tomorrow.

Icy! Arrived at noon. Put skis on and started out by Nordic center and it was icy. A skier just finished and he said he wiped out 3 times on the hills due to the ice. Enough for me and I headed to the parking lot. Talked with another skier and she had started out and returned on a short loop and said it was too icy and dangerous. She was also leaving. Be careful out there.

Morning
Firsthand: Both Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied most of the trails. Very icy conditions. Skiing conditions are poor for both classic and skating. They have not set tracks/rolled the trails since Thursday morning and do not plan to do it again until Monday. Do not recommend it to anyone this weekend. It is unfortunate they can't set tracks/roll trails on the weekends.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied at noon and trails were mostly hard and icy with some leaves. Not much kick to be had, but realistically not bad for double poling, which I did for about 45 min. Take your time on the uphills and take care on the untracked downhills and you can get in a decent ski.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Trails this morning may be icy due to last nights re-freeze. The trails were last groomed on Thursday and groomers are expected to re-groom on Monday. Trails may be thin on south facing trails.

Night

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Today's melt made for relatively icy trails this evening. I skied the east and west trails tonight; west trails had more slushy spots but overall were better skiing.

Today was positively the best metro skiing I have experienced since last year. I skated the Eagle Point trail twice around and found only one very minor spot of dirt showing, easy to ski right by it. Tracks were set fully around, and the best classic tracks I have seen there in a long time. I then classic skied the remaining trails later into the evening and found the all of the lops to be in equally great condition. Things were so good I did not want to stop, but my body said otherwise. The fact that temps did not go as high as forecast suggests that conditions should be equally great on Friday!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were groomed today. There's a fresh skate deck - tracks were in good shape so they did not reset them.

Beautiful snow everywhere and blue skies and sunshine to go with it. There were many other smiling faces out enjoying the trails this afternoon. The skate deck was lumpy and bumpy and fairly soft. Another grooming after it has a chance to setup and/or get packed down by all of the happy skiers and it will be phenomenal. The classic tracks looked fine, but I was skating.

East trails rolled and groomed with classic track in excellent condition this afternoon, they report working on grooming west trails. Perfect conditions on natural snow for all the eastern park trails.
