Amazing! Got to Wirth around 9:00 as the impromptu classic race was finishing up. The groomer had set best line double classic tracks over the entire loop. It was such fun classic skiing on best line tracks! I never had to get out of the tracks around the corners. The tracks were great on the downhills. Snow conditions were great for anytime during the winter but to have conditions like this on April 16 - so awesome! A huge thank you to the Loppet for continuing to groom Wirth! It is so appreciated. I have lived in the Twin Cities for over 40 years (and been a skier all those years) but have never had the opportunity to ski mint condition groomed trails this late in the season in the Twin Cities. Double kudos to the Loppet!

The trails are awesome at Wirth. Just a heads up though, I was there at noon and the trails are groomed with two sets of classic tracks which doesn't leave much room for skating. I skated and it was a mix of short glides and double poling with only a few sections where I could skate normally.

Beautiful classic skiing on Wirth's 3K double set of classic tracks this morning 8:30-10 am. Small 10K race there same time but they just went around us non-racers. Trail got a little slow towards 10 am but nothing bad. Thank you groomers!

Theo was mostly double track groomed this morning because of the classic race this morning. There really wasn't a skating lane on most of the course. The tracks were in great shape, and it was nice to have the double track going down almost all of the hills. This season just keeps on going with these record April snowfalls, and the good grooming by Theo!

Can you believe skiing April 15th in the metro! What a great end of the season run. Good classic tracks and skate deck this morning with fresh snow on top of recent grooming. There were lots of skiers out enjoying the good snow this morning.

With over a foot of new snow, a winter wonderland at Wirth. Classic tracks are in good shape, skating deck has a few inches of new snow after the recent grooming, really fun conditions for April 15!

Soft and a little slow, as expected. Trail was groomed as promised and parking lot plowed at 6:30 am. Thanks to Wirth groomers and their management for continuing to make the most out of a great situation.

Skied with 4-5 new inches of snow over icy base. Great conditions, will need grooming after additional snowfall. Some trails around chalet had snow plowed around into piles.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
We plan to groom 3k for skate and classic early Sunday morning. We will groom Monday, Tuesday and possibly longer if conditions allow. The groomed area will start in the lower stadium going out the Green Meadow Loop, Twin Lake and then the Catwalk up to Coaches corner and back down to the lower stadium. Park in new parking lots near new Trailhead building to access these trails.
