Thank you to the groomers for grooming the lower stadium and Twin Lake trails! I skied both groomed and ungroomed sections (upper stadium). Conditions were a bit choppy and icy, but given how beautiful the afternoon was and the fact that there was snow to ski on (and enthusiastic skiers skiing on it), who could complain?

A lot of skiers must have gotten out today. By the time I skied (around 5:30) the skate deck was very tracked out and the downhills were icy. It's still great to be skiing in April!

It was great to have the groomed trail back at Wirth this morning! The tracks were a little soft, but very good for April! The skate deck was softer back in the Twin Lakes area. A big Thank You to the Theo groomers for keeping our metro season going!

Loppet was out grooming Wirth this morning. I stayed off as it had not set up yet. Should be great skiing by noon today.

Thanks to awesome skiers that made classic tracks in 6" of fresh snow at Wirth this morning. Great old school skiing.

Free Ski Day! Bonus Day! We groomed about 3k of trails for classic and skate on the snowmaking loop starting in lower stadium and going out the Green Meadow Loop, Twin Lake and then the Catwalk up to Coaches corner and back down to the lower stadium. Park in new parking lots near new Trailhead building to access these trails. Enjoy the April skiing!

Absolutely unbelievable amount of sticky snow at Theo Wirth. Skied one lap of the man-made and that was enough for me. People before me had blazed their own classic tracks, but they were very deep and difficult to keep your balance in. I'm sure it'll be nice skiing once those tracks are skied in a bit more. The skate lane was essentially untouched; skating through that amount of snow ungroomed will be a lot of work I'm sure.

Tons of snow cover, no grooming or trails set. A few brave souls forged some classic tracks that I used for an almost 100% poling ski. It was a beautiful scene but very slow, still had a great time, I'll probably go back tomorrow.

Classic skied Wirth this morning. Great to be on snow in April but would have been better off skating. With possibly more snow and cold temps in the forecast it would be awesome if Loppet would groom!

Had the Judy loop all to my self this morning. Felt more like December then April fools day. Plenty of snow to play around on the hills plus the entire snow making loop even has fresh snow yet so it was easy to avoid icy spots in yesterday's tracks.
