Same conditions as yesterday. Completely skiable, just icy. Classic tracks looked decent. The entire manmade loop is holding up well; be interesting to try it around noon.

Visually, the trail conditions were perfect. But they were icy this morning around 8:30, perhaps due to daylight savings I'm starting an hour "earlier" without the benefit of sun warming up the trail. Apart from that, good coverage throughout the snowmaking loop. Can't complain!

That the snowmaking loop was excellent goes almost without saying. The Judy loop was also good for skilled skiers, but the big downhill right at the start had a little too much ice for my comfort. The ice was manageable on the slope, but a patch across the trail at the toe made me decide not to repeat the loop. Other than that, the Judy loop had excellent coverage, though it was softer than the snowmaking loop--which makes for a better workout, especially on those killer uphills! I would have been happy to do the uphills a few more times if I didn't feel I was risking limb to get to the bottom of them! Fortunately, LaSquandra is a good substitute.

Amazing conditions at the man made loop - stunning day. Also skied JD Rivers, Tornado Alley up to the man made loop. Tracks on natural snow are patchy, some bare spots and some icey spots. Still not bad all things considered, but not nearly as good as the man made loop. Lots of very happy skiers out there today!

We had excellent skiing at Wirth this afternoon! The classic tracks were all well formed, and in really good condition. They were a little glazed at times in the sunny areas, but overall were great with a hard wax. The skate lane was also in super shape with no ice at all. Thanks to the groomers for making Wirth a go to destination!

Perfect trails and conditions today. Ski and Vitamin D at Wirth North. Personal thanks to the Loppet Foundation for the reinvestment into Wirth Rec Area this year. The additional snowmaking capacity made a huge difference and the skiing was arguably the best it's been in almost 20 years.

The snowmaking loop was great. Classic tracks were set and firm. Overall, perfect conditions. Hopefully we get several days of this!

It's March and there is too much snow at Theodore! Went out around 830. Inches of snow had fallen since grooming, so skating was a bit tough as I had to pick up my feet. But can't complain. When the snowfall stops, conditions should be near perfect after the next grooming.

Fresh grooming this morning after our big snowfall! I removed about 40 branches from the trail so it is largely debris free, but I recommend B skis to be safe - there are some branches buried in snow. Great March skiing!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received about 4-5 inches of high moisture snow yesterday and overnight. Manmade snow was groomed and tracked this morning. Crews are out this morning rolling natural snow trails and they will groom and track those when finished rolling.
