Utah Hires Asst Coach Wendy Wagner
April 24, 2006Olympian Wendy Wagner has been announced as the new assistant coach at the University of Utah, joining head coach Eli Brown.
UAF Skiing Signs Teppan and Sabo
April 16, 2006The University of Alaska Fairbanks head skiing coach Scott Jerome announced that Vahur Teppan and Ray Sabo have signed national letters of intent. Teppan is a native of Tartu, Estonia and Sabo hails from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada.

NCAA: Freestyle
March 11, 2006The NCAA Nationals finished on Saturday with the freestyle races. University of Alaska-Fairbanks Johanna Turunen posted the top CCSA result as she finished 2nd overall in the womens 15K race, just 10 seconds back. Marius Korthauer, UAF, had the top mens CCSA time with a 7th place finish in the 20K.

March 9, 2006Corey Coogan reports: Thirteen CCSA skiers raced on the opening day of Nordic competition at the NCAA Championships in Steamboat Springs, CO. In the women's 5 km individual start, NMU's Lindsey Weier led the region by finishing 3rd. UAF's Marius Korthhauer took 2nd in the 10 kilometer, and NMU's Bryan Cook was just behind in 3rd. Other top-10s: Tami Kochen NMU 6th, Kristina Owen MTU 9th.
