Five inches of fluffy snow last night and the trail has been groomed since then. Conditions are excellent. I give it a 9.

The entire system of ski loops has been groomed this morning and is double tracked (with the exception of the upper loop by Beaver Lake, which had been tracked a day or two earlier, it was covered with fresh snow today). No skate deck, just groomed for classic. The base is thin and a little soft, the tracks aren't that deep, and there are areas with grass, leaves, or pine needles in the tracks, but considering how little snow there is out there I was pretty happy with the conditions. You might not want to use your best skis, but probably you could get away with it and not damage them.

Trails have been rolled but the base is still pretty soft. A few people have been out on the trails on both classic skis and skating but I don't think the classic tracks were machine set. Lots of pedestrian traffic on the rolled trail on the south end by Hospital Road, but it looked like the main loop hadn't really been walked on.
