Notes

A great mix of beginner and expert ski trails. With the inclusion of the Jerry Jolly Trails there is about 25 km groomed for skating and classic. There is also an additional 15 km of classic only trails. With views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, this is a very scenic area to ski. There is a nice lodge which sells snacks and food as well as a ski patrol and small downhill area.

Groomers have been busy refreshing tracks on Anchor, Zig Zag, Roller Coaster, Telford, Abbey Rd, Beginners, Seagull, Northern Lights from the Summit, Jolly and Skid Rd. Classic Only trails were double packed, rolled and dragged including Sugarbush, Seagull classic, Oppedahl's and Deer Path.

Surprisingly good conditions! Light snow fall last night covered the ice and the classic tracks are great, even those that haven't been groomed recently. Skate deck looked crumbly with adequate grip. Kudos to Ashwabay groomers for an amazing season!

Skied at 6:00 PM. Used good skis, but rock might be a better choice. I recommend cleaning your skis nightly to remove grime. Skate deck is hard, very fast and still able to get an edge. Abby Rd to Northern Lights and the Buzz were good, some track marks from day time, warm weather skiing. Some dirt accumulating as you might expect with melt down. Classic track looked good.
