Trail Detail
Notes
A great mix of beginner and expert ski trails. With the inclusion of the Jerry Jolly Trails there is about 25 km groomed for skating and classic. There is also an additional 15 km of classic only trails. With views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, this is a very scenic area to ski. There is a nice lodge which sells snacks and food as well as a ski patrol and small downhill area.Trail Reports

Surprisingly good conditions! Light snow fall last night covered the ice and the classic tracks are great, even those that haven't been groomed recently. Skate deck looked crumbly with adequate grip. Kudos to Ashwabay groomers for an amazing season!

Skied at 6:00 PM. Used good skis, but rock might be a better choice. I recommend cleaning your skis nightly to remove grime. Skate deck is hard, very fast and still able to get an edge. Abby Rd to Northern Lights and the Buzz were good, some track marks from day time, warm weather skiing. Some dirt accumulating as you might expect with melt down. Classic track looked good.

Mount Ashwabay for the win, again! We enjoyed some of the best groomed, fastest-running snow we've had all season! The groomers continue to do an amazing job - the tracks were solid and well-set, skate deck was firm but controllable and all of it very fast. Got out on some of the usual suspects, Abbey, Northern Lights, Sugarbush. It was quieter than normal, which was nice - I hear there was another big race in town just an hour south :).
