Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Light snow coming down overnight and during the day made for great conditions, both classic and skate. After the warm up last Sunday/Monday the base firmed up with still a solid 10". Thursday the groomer mixed in 4-5" of new snow. Today skaters were happy with an inch or two fluff, so good control and great glide. Classic was very good. Kick wax with pine tar prevented any icing with the fresh snow off the lake. Look for great weekend skiing. Lodge open every day from 10a to 4p.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
All trails were groomed and tracked over the weekend. No new grooming yesterday or today. We had a warmup which prevented grooming. Regardless the trails have been skiable. We have a great snowpack. Some refrozen trail conditions, possibly some icy spots.

Great conditions after 18-20" of snow dump Wednesday night, on top of a good base. All trails rolled and then big ginzu groomed Friday. Classic was excellent with Rex Blue glide and Guru Green kick. Lodge is open everyday 10a-4pm.

All trails except H (it needs to freeze up) were groomed and tracked today. The skate platform is still pretty soft and needs to settle more. Beautiful conditions for some striding. Plenty of snow.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Today groomers snowmobile packed nearly all trails. Then we ran a 12' roller and dropped tracks on 20k of trail (segments A, C, G, X, W, Y). We received about 24" of snow. Snow deepest on the east end of our trail system. I noted B skis as we'll have to see how the soft snow sets up.

Morning
Observation
[ Rock skis ]
Lake effect snow cycles are kicking in now. We've received 6" of snow. There is not enough snow to groom as of yet. Also deer season ends this weekend which opens things up for us. Rock skiing, if you're careful, appears doable.
