Dr. Zhivago scenery with single digit temps and strong NW wind. JC groomed in 4" early in the morning, but more was falling during the day. Classic was great, with a short kick zone and thin layer of Guru Green. Lodge is open all week 10a-4p.

Arrived 32 degrees and sleet. Sleet turned to sunshine. Then 1 1/2 inch snowflakes coming straight down. The wind picked up and normal snow the rest of my ski. 27 degrees when I left. Grooming was great and so was my 4 1/2 hour ski. Will be back after the weekend for the snow and great grooming.

JC rolled in another 4" of LES this morning with several more inches falling throughout the day. Excellent classic conditions and skate deck firmed up after yesterday's groom with the heavier tractor. Temps never got above 32F at the trails.

Gorgeous winter day and terrific skiing at VS today! The compacted snow base is 18" throughout the network with 18-24" banks. A striders Heaven. The tracks on the western trails set up better than those on east, but every meter is skiable. Really a special place with a super friendly volunteer base, and a ton of snow! Carpe Skiem!

Cold, sunny day at Valley Spur with the best trail conditions around! Great tracks with fast glide. I used the skate lane on some downhills and found it to be firm. The system had been groomed earlier in the day. Sorry I did not stop to take any photos today. You would be hard pressed to find better conditions than VS.

Warm conditions yesterday, Sunday with fresh snow falling all day. More snow overnight and temps finally down into the 20's continuing to drop all day long into the teens. John C was out early and groomed in 5" fresh snow with big roller and deep trac setter. Classic was excellent. More Birkie skiers adding quality K's to their training log.

Tons of snow. All trails were groomed and good conditions all around. A bit soft with the new snow. Classic was better. The tractor just arrived as we were heading out.

Mother Nature dropped about 4" of LES last night, so John C was out early and groomed the whole system. Classic tracks were very good. Scenery was fantastic. A great group of skiers out today enjoying classic and skating. Skiers training for the Birkie were adding some quality kilometers on our G and Z trails(challenging hills). Our non-profit ski club appreciates all who showed up as out of area skiers allow us to operate, this system could not operate without you.
