Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
5-7" of new light fluffy snow that fell all day made for great ski conditions even if the skating lanes were not freshly groomed. Classic tracks were deep and defined, perhaps from the skiers using them. Get out there!

Trail conditions are fantastic. Blue sky day made it even better. Hills were perfect today with a nice flat firm deck and deep set tracks.

Fresh powder that has been groomed in the morning, so classic was awesome. Skate deck was soft. Deep plentiful snow at the lovely VS. I never pass up a chance to ski these trails.

First time here. Trails were in awesome condition. So great to be on natural snow finally after the dismal winter in Southern WI. Definitely plan to make this spot a regular visit.

Fresh snow falling off and on during the day made classic skiing great in the deep set tracks. Plenty of base as pictures show. Temps stayed below 30 today.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Yesterday saw 4" of fresh snow before entire system was groomed. Later we were hit with LES band resulting in another 4" of fresh snow that was rolled in this morning. Temps did climb into the high 30's later today but are dropping. 16" plus base with over 40" on the level in the woods.

The Valley Spur trail maintenance crew spent the bulk of the morning cutting branches and slightly widening the trail. The trail had not been groomed from the weekend. Tons of snow. Lots of pesky Beech leaves in the tracks. The Z and G trails provided the best skiing. Carpe Skiem!

Gorgeous conditions at Valley Spur last weekend! The trails here are the best of the best for scenic beauty, challenge, and grooming. We'll worth the nearly 6 hour drive for us!

So impressed and appreciated that these trails were freshly groomed by early this morning after about 6 inches of snow fell Saturday night. A big thank you to the groomer! The tracks were deep and solid which made for great classic skiing, including the steep hills on trails G , I, and Z. Joanie and I hit the Munising Trifecta of classic skiing the last three days after visits to McKeever Hills, Pictured Rocks, and Valley Spur. We enjoyed all three trail systems and it was well worth the drive from the Madison area.

Plenty of snow here! Classic tracks were deep and in excellent condition. Skating lanes were soft but getting skied in and faster as the day went on. Lots of people out enjoying the trails. Fun day!
