With the addition of more fluffy snow today we were able to groom and set track at Washburn. For the most part the tracks turns out nicely, but in the open areas whee logging took place expect the tracks to be thinner, with some leaves, sticks, and other debris visible. We still have a small segment of trail closed. There is concern over possible damage to the newly reseeded area at Herringbone Hill, along with haul rode create during logging. Hopefully more snowfall will allow us to open that segment.

Good coverage of snow but deck had not been rolled in a while and no tracks set. Seemed like only one other skier had been here in days, which is not the norm for this gem.

Got back to working on the base today. Yesterday's snow was minimal, 2-3" of fluff. Due to the recent meltdown, the original base got pretty icy and hard. The groomers just laid down corduroy today, no tracks. The deck is paper thin, and keep in mind the underlying base is icy. Keep the good skis at home, and use only your B skis. Also, there is a segment of trail the groomers omitted: Due to logging, and resurfacing Herringbone Hill about 1 mile of trail is closed off. We are waiting for more snow before we haul the heavy equipment over it.
