Arrived just before a high school meet, so I only did one lap (the finger and the loop above the Trailhead did not appear to be open. Conditions were fantastic! The track was deep and hard. Guru green kicked like a dream. The skate deck was great as well, some loosened snow for edging on the downhill turns. Did not feel really cold and had lots of youthful excitement!

I hit the trails about 8 am and it was cold and quiet. So fun to ski fresh and hard corduroy. Low temps meant slow snow, but with the sun shining and the tremendous conditions, my speed was irrelevant. And so nice to have more trail open in the woods by the lake. I did notice a little bit of dirt coming through still where the utility vehicles cross the trail, but conditions are much improved over last week. Thanks Loppet crew for great work.

Tracks were fast, uphills firm, downhills not overly fast. There weren't many skiers probably due to cold temps. I kept my face covered and was fine. Lower stadium and Ridgeline were windy but the rest of the trails were protected. Some debris on Twin Lakes and bottom of Jim's hill. The few inches of snow we got have made the conditions near perfect!

5k open and the trails were in great condition this morning. No icy patches, and minimal debris. Fun to ski through the forest on Twin Lake. Theo has managed to have the snow bridge ready for the races this weekend - well done to the staff! Hope folks have a great time with the Loppet activities scheduled this weekend.

Wirth manmade snow trails has expanded to twin lakes and the upper stadium. Fabulous conditions. It seems they have spread some newer manmade snow on the main trails to freshen them up. So fun on fresh artificial snow in twin lakes. I had the old klister or power grip on and it was just fine. Seeing the sun the morning was a refreshing sight.

Excellent conditions. Everything was clean and running smoothly. Snow a bit squeaky and at first I wished I topped up my wax, but after a few minutes I didn't notice anymore. It was great to finally get on twin lake segment!

Twin Lakes trail is now open! We have around 5k of snowmaking trails open, as well as instructional areas in lower and upper stadiums. Snowmaking is underway on Trail 18, Inner Meadow, and North Finger.

Conditions were decent but not great this morning. A little dirty where work vehicles cross ski trails, and some debris in places. The guns were blowing lots of snow and the groomers were getting ready to start moving it around. Big weekend of racing ahead here.
