Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Received 1-2 inches of light snow last night. I groomed the skating lanes on all loops. Conditions are very good but a little slow. I left the classic tracks as is. The additional snow covered the icy spots and debris. Conditions are very good.

Zillmer received about two inches of snow overnight. The groomer pulled in around 10:00. Once the new snow adheres to the existing base, it should be in very good to excellent condition. Twenty cars in the parking lot at 11:00. Enjoy!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Advise waxless skies for classic.
Leaves, sticks and debris are everywhere in the classic track. Skating looked to be ok. The debris stuck to my kick wax making the entire kick zone of my skies a vegetable salad. The trails are thin and icy. The grooming is as good as it can get until ma nature sends more snow. Skied the second round with waxless and it was much better.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good skating and classical.
Skated Yellow and classical on Red. Yellow was packed harder and the classical tracks had more ice and debris. Red was in perfect shape forth with looser snow for skating and clean tracks.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Skating excellent.
First loop was just ok, previous days traffic had left it a little rutted; then the groomer came through and leveled everything out again - perfect corduroy. Still icy underneath but so far the snow is sticking to it.

was out this afternoon and the trails are in good condition, but it is icy below the surface. This primarily affected solid pole plants. The downhills were not icy. I skated, but the classic tracks looked very good as well. Excellent coverage, and minimal debris.

Zillmer is in good to very good condition throughout. Track was set and groomer Reagan spent most of the day yesterday working the fresh snow into the existing base. Just a heads up that the brown trail will be heavily traveled with some school field trips today through Monday. Green, Red, and Yellow will be in better conditions for skating and striding. Some pictures of the great conditions at Zillmer.

Afternoon

Conditions: 1.5 inches of fresh snow combined with loose snow from the grooming made for good control on hardpacked icy base. Because of the many passes made by the groomer we were treated with fresh honeycombed trail. Everyone was enjoying the ski conditions. Good coverage on all the trails. The fresh classic tracks also were good.
The groomer was grooming from about 10am and was still grooming when I left at 2:30. Thanks to him to turn a very icy situation into good ski conditions.
