[ Trails: Closed, Good skis ]
As of tonight, Thursday, the North End Trails are all closed. They will reopen when conditions allow. The warm temperatures, forcasted rain, and minimal base leave the trails vulnerable to damage at this time. Please help us preserve what there is by respecting the closures so we can have good skiing again when conditions improve.

NE skate lanes were touched up and some track reset where needed. All trails are in good shape. Consideration is being given to closing the trails later this week if the predicted warm weather and rain happen.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We have received approximately 6 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. The main trail was groomed this afternoon and groomers will be out tomorrow to set track and get the other trails in shape by the weekend. Expect soft skate conditions for a day or two.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The main trail was combed for skateing today and was reported soft. The groomer decided to try and set track on about 7k of trail, using the B cutoff return. I skied that section and the track is mostly deep and firm with just a couple places where dirt was brought up in the track. The debris has been greatly reduced by the new snow. Another groomer went out and combed out the entire NE Classic trail but no tracks were set. With more snow expected tomorrow the grooming will be dependent on when it stops.

We received 2 -3 inches of snow last night. One of the crew is headed out to groom the main trail this morning about 10:30. He may not set new tracks as prediction is for more snow later today. Trails are scheduled to be groomed again tomorrow.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Found some good stride skiing at North End Ski Trails this morning; the trails had just been groomed, were level, and offered good coverage. The skate lane was better than the stride track, as there were a few dirt spots and some debris to ski around.

The skate lane of the main trail was scratched up today. Most of the debris from the past week has been removed and the trail has good snow coverage. Tracks were not set today and remain good in some places and fair in others. There is some debris in the tracks under the pine sections. The plan is to have groomers working on the NE Classic trail tomorrow to get rid of the debris and reset track. The WorldCup/Tony Wise was groomed for skating a few days ago.
