Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
A little soft yet which was interesting as their most recent snow was early in the week. In all other respects, conditions are excellent. Flat, firm-ish base and full depth classic tracks. Not quite 'hero' snow as it's not transformed but a welcome change from the cold we've had recently.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received 2+ inches of snow last night and all the skate lanes were groomed today. We promptly received another 2+ inches after the grooming and it is still snowing. I classic skied a combination of the regular NE trails and the classic only trail during the snowfall and the tracks are well skied in but are getting shallow due to the accumulating snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received a little over 2 inches of snow overnight and groomed starting at 8. All trails were groomed and tracks set. The snow was dry so the tracks did not set up well before skiers arrived. The new snow covered most of the debris that had been accumulating on the trails and all trails are in very good condition.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic skied the NE Trails this afternoon on freshly groomed trails. The tracks were mostly good but there were a few places the track was a little shallow as the trail was so hard packed the tracker could not consistently go deep enough to set full depth tracks. By observation the skate lanes looked very good.

Skied out the old Korte trail from the Nordmoor neighborhood near Telemark to the Tony Wise trail. ABSF is grooming the connection this year and conditions were good. Classic track was solid except for one small section on the TW trail where it disappeared for 100 meters. I haven't been on the Tony Wise for a couple of years and it was pleasant to revisit it. Some leaves in the track but easily avoided. Skate deck was smooth but thin in spots. The North End trail was freshly groomed, pristine cord on the skate deck and great tracks, the triple track set for the Double Pole Derby was in great shape too. Skied the TwinSkins on Sunday which worked great and the wax combination intended for Hyland was awesome on Monday. Good kick and glide.
Thanks to the grooming crew, hopefully Mother Nature will give them more snow to work with.
