Notes

A great mix of beginner and expert ski trails. With the inclusion of the Jerry Jolly Trails there is about 25 km groomed for skating and classic. There is also an additional 15 km of classic only trails. With views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, this is a very scenic area to ski. There is a nice lodge which sells snacks and food as well as a ski patrol and small downhill area.

[ Good skis ]
After two days of warm weather, we still have plenty of base, so we groomed and tracked all of the skate trails, and tracked all of the classic only trails, except the Jolly Connector to Star Route.

We got about 6 more inches of snow in the last 24 hours. So we groomed and tracked: Anchor, Jolly Long, Seagull, Rollercoaster, and Telford. We tracked: Sugarbush, Oppedahl's, Deerpath, Black Bear, and Raven. It was a bit soft, but should setup overnight if the temps drop as forecast.

Skied Deer Path trail for the first time. Spectacular trail; beautiful scenery, lots of snow and impeccably groomed travel. Thanks to the groomers for a great experience.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
With about 2 inches of new snow overnight, we groomed and tracked: Anchor, Jolly Long, Seagull, Rollercoaster, and Telford. We tracked: Raven, Deerpath, Black Bear, and Sugarbush from Black Bear to Anchor. There's plenty of snow out there, and should be good skiing with the warmer temps.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good to excellent.
Mother nature turned on the lake effect snow machine and it has been snowing non-stop in Bayfield. Lots of cold dry powder made for slow going, but the trails are in great shape. Plenty of base. These ski trails are a gem. Thanks to all the volunteers who make it such a joy.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Today we groomed and tracked: Anchor, Jolly Long, Seagull, and Rollercoaster. Yesterday we tracked: Sugarbush, Seagull Connector, Raven, Deerpath, and Black Bear. We keep getting a couple inches of new snow each day, so the trails are starting to shape up nicely.
