Conditions: 1.5 inches of fresh snow combined with loose snow from the grooming made for good control on hardpacked icy base. Because of the many passes made by the groomer we were treated with fresh honeycombed trail. Everyone was enjoying the ski conditions. Good coverage on all the trails. The fresh classic tracks also were good.
The groomer was grooming from about 10am and was still grooming when I left at 2:30. Thanks to him to turn a very icy situation into good ski conditions.

Received about 1.5 inches of fluffy snow last night. Packed, groomed and tracked all loops today. Light snow falling currently. Skating lanes are good to very good condition. Classic track is overall good with some thin spots with underlying icy spots.

Groomer Reagan was mixing in that top fluffy layer with the existing base. Results have been great so far. The brown loop was in very good condition for skating and a track was set. Minimal trail debris. A-skis will be fine. The track is shallow in places but quite good overall. I can't speak for Red, Yellow, or Green as he was just heading out there when we left. Get out and enjoy!

Conditions: Good but a little soft.
I groomed the brown trail which was used for the candlelight ski/hike, going over it nearly 6 times to try to get the divots out. I couldn't renovate too much without getting larger chunks to come up. I groomed one pass on the red/green to cover up the footprints of someone hiking when they shouldn't have been. The yellow didn't have enough snow to groom up. We'll touch up the trails on Monday after it firms up. We'll also reset track; I wasn't able to due to an issue with the sled.

Conditions: There was enough loose snow from yesterday's grooming that made for edging on the hard icy base which resulted in enjoyable skiing for everyone. Even the classic skiers appeared to like the tracks. The skating was very fast but still had good control on the downhills. Full coverage on all trails with no problem of debris.
skiers from Illinois and SE WI where the snow has gone kept the parking lot nearly full. The DNR ranger said they will groom after the candlelight ski/hike tonight so the conditions should be as good or better on Sunday.

Conditions: Groomed, track was left as is.
Staff groomed and touched up all skating lanes. Track was left as it was due to it coming up in chunks when trying to renovate and reset track. We'll groom the skating lanes after tomorrow night's ski/hike event.

Groomers were able to comb the skate lanes this morning. However, the classical track was not able to be reset. The skate lanes are in good shape, and staff will attempt to re-track the classical lanes before the weekend.

Conditions: New snow is just about 1-2" of very heavy, wet snow.
Staff are out rolling this afternoon. As a reference, we can't even put the comb down on the roller without "plowing" snow ahead of the comb. We'll be out in time for the weekend after this wet snow sets up.
